11 Years in Business: Thank You Athy (and Ireland!)
This 12th September marks a special milestone for us here at Irish Web Services: 11 years in business.
It honestly does not feel like over a decade since we started out helping local businesses in Athy get online. Back then, having a website felt like a nice extra for a lot of small businesses. These days, it is often the first place a potential customer looks before they ever pick up the phone or walk through your door. We are proud to have helped so many Athy and Kildare businesses make that shift, and we have loved every minute of it.
How It All Started
Irish Web Services began as a one person operation with a simple goal: build good, honest websites for small businesses without the jargon or the inflated agency price tag. Eleven years on, that is still exactly what we do, just with a lot more experience under our belt and a much longer list of happy clients.
What We Have Learned Along the Way
A lot changes in 11 years of web design. We have seen websites move from clunky desktop only builds to fast, mobile first sites that need to work perfectly on a phone screen. We have watched Google’s algorithm shift more times than we can count, and we have kept our SEO approach up to date every step of the way.
One thing that has not changed is our focus on the local Athy business community. There is something rewarding about walking down the town and knowing you helped that shop, that clinic, or that tradesperson get set up online. That local connection is at the heart of everything we do.
