Supporting a Local Organisation Doing Great Work in Athy
At Irish Web Services, we love helping local community projects improve their online presence. Recently, we worked with the Athy Alternative Project, an organisation that provides valuable support and opportunities in our community.
When their team lost access to their website and needed help updating it, they reached out to us. What started as a quick favour turned into a full refresh that made a real difference to how their website looks and functions.
Regaining Access and Getting the Site Up to Date
The first step was to help the team regain access through their hosting provider, Blacknight. Once we restored access, we carried out several key updates:
- ✅ Created a new “Jobs” page and posted their latest vacancy
- ✅ Added fresh images to the homepage to highlight their work and team
- ✅ Uploaded new blog articles to keep visitors informed about their latest news and activities
These changes not only brought the site up to date but also made it easier for staff and visitors to find important information.
Local Projects Matter
As a web design business based in Athy, Co. Kildare, we believe in supporting the local organisations that make our town stronger. The Athy Alternative Project does amazing work, and we were delighted to help them showcase that online.
Small website updates can have a big impact, especially for community organisations that rely on clear communication and visibility.
